NextGen Federal Systems was awarded the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2018 Subcontractor of the Year for Region 3, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, D.C., and West Virginia. The SBA award recognizes NextGen’s hard work, innovation and dedication to the community helping to drive the nation’s economic growth.
“This is a true testament to the dedication of our talented team” said Jay Reddy, NextGen Founder and CEO. “While NextGen is still a relatively small business, the services we are providing are critical to the posture of our nation’s defense.”
The Morgantown-based company specializes in software engineering, enterprise IT, program support, and research and development for a variety of Department of Defense sectors.
According to Reddy, the company was nominated for the award by Raytheon Company for exemplary support in the development of the U.S. Army’s Electronic Warfare Planning and Management and RavenClaw programs. NextGen has supported these programs since 2014.
“In just one year, we tripled our subcontracting work with NextGen,” said Karen Steinfeld, Director, Raytheon Electronic Warfare Systems. “What sets NextGen apart is their ability to learn and respond to new programs quickly.”
NextGen was established in 2011, and has relationships with many other large companies supporting the DoD across the U.S. In addition to Morgantown, NextGen has offices in Aberdeen, Maryland, and Dayton, Ohio. “Each of our employees shares a sense of commitment and pride in their work that contributes to the success we enjoy today and will enjoy in the future,” said Reddy.
